Welcome to the website of the Kempsey Powerhouse Motel. Positioned on the Macleay Valley Way 4 ½ klms south of the township of Kempsey diagonally across the road from the new Slim Dusty Centre. Kempsey is often referred to as the perfect halfway stop between Sydney and Brisbane.
Your hosts, Tracy and Martin are country folk. They understand and deliver country hospitality at every opportunity to ensure your stay is enjoyable. They provide clean, affordable and very comfortable accommodation.
Situated in the magnificent Macleay Valley, and only a short distance from pristine beaches at Crescent Head, Hat Head and South West Rocks. Beautiful scenic drives including visits to local vineyards and Nulla Creek, a pleasant drive to the boyhood property of Slim Dusty – country music legend, and onto the pub with no beer.
The Kempsey Powerhouse Motel is set back from the highway on 5 acres of manicured bushland. Take a relaxing walk around the property and enjoy the peacefulness amongst the trees with the native birds above, resident kangaroos, possums and goannas.
